My Dad is my why, as I sit in my very much privileged space, being middle-class, white-presenting, I have a Dad who does not have very much confidence in terms of reading and writing. Directly opposite of him, he has a sister who has climbed the academic ladder and is now a professor and deeply embedded in college and university education. This is where life gets complicated.
I should add that I have an absolutely fabulous mother who has most certainly guided me in education, and as well as #relationshipgoals.
